Crew trainer
Position Summary
The Crew Trainer is Sandwich Artist® but also is certified to train new and existing team members to ensure all team members greets and serves guests, prepares products, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional guest service is a major component of this position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide food that meets SUBWAY’s specifications and high-quality standards
Provide service that is above and beyond for the guest while making subs, salad, protein bowls, wraps and more
Handle customer concers and commplaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to SUBWAY's standards and policies
Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
Food Safety, and Cleans, sanitization and maintains all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image. Understands and adheres to the Wash, Rinse, and Sanitize method of cleaning. (Includes but not limited to: washing dishes, cleaning restrooms, deep cleaning. cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
Set up of the store, including food preparation
Usage and Cleaning of power driven (electric) meat slicer (18 years old and above only)
Prepare and Bake Bread (16 years old and above only)
Prepare and Bake Cookies (16 years old and above only)
Slice Fresh Veggies: Tomato, Cucumber, Onions, Green Peppers
Prepare Meats, Veggies, Seasoning and Sauces.
Labeling Products
Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests, makes change, and ensure shortages do not happen
Performs Cash-In and Cash-Out Procedure- accounting for all forms of money, bread, etc., during the shift, beginning of the shift, and the end of the shift
Performs Food Temperature Logs to ensure all produces are safe to serve
Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
Checks products in sandwich unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
Maintains a sanitary and safe restaurant by mopping, sweeping floors, removing trash, cleaning equiptment, and keeping restrooms clean
Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual: Daily Procedures.
Understand, Comply and adheres to all portion sizes, formulas, qualidy standards, procedures as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual, Steritech REV Guidebook and Health Department Standards
Unload delivery truck supplies and plave in the proper storage area
Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook
Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
Completes University of Subway® courses as directed.
Trains newer or less experienced Sandwich Artists in their tasks and responsibilities
Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and management teamto create work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed
Follow directives of Management Team, Operations Partner in execution of responsibilities
Prerequisites
Education: Some high school or equivalent.
Experience: No previous experience? No worries, we will train you to be a Sandwich Artist, Perfect restaurant job for high school students and college students!
Requirements
Must provide proof upon hire of legal status to work in the United States
Must be at least 16 years old of age upon hire date
This is a customer contact positon! must be able to communicate, read and write the English language
Shift times vary as per restaurant schedule
Arrive on time for scheduled shift
Must have a source(s) of reliable transportation to and from work
May require to train new or existing team members in multiple locations
Must be willing to commute to Forest Park, Georgia 30297 or Morrow, Georgia 30260
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle all equiptment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low
Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal comminication skills required
Preform tasks at a pace that can keep up with the demands of the business
Customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers and co-workers on a consistent basis
Maintain personal hygiene standards and follows the SUBWAY uniform policy
Maintain adherence to quality control standards
Works in hot, noisy and fast paced environment
Mobility required during shifts
Must work will under pressure
Must be able to respind ti changes or edits to sorders quictly and efficiently
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Bending, reaching, carrying and stooping
Ability to stand and walk for entire work shift
Use of cleaning chemicals such as Dish Soap, Food Grade Sanitizer, Degreaser, Window Cleaner, Restroom Cleaner.
Physical Demand
The position’s physical demands require work in a restaurant/kitchen environment with moderate to loud noise levels, varying temperature conditions. While performing the duties of the job, the Sandwich Artist is regularly required to react quickly to deadlines, sometimes with little notice. The Sandwich Artist is often required to stand for long periods; standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting, all generally involving moderate muscular strain in addition to seeing, hearing, and talking. Safely using all store food preparation equipment for long periods with the required application of eye, hand and finger dexterity. Must be able to lift and carry up to at least fifty (50) pounds unassisted. Periodic local travel required in normal course of job performance. May be required to use a stepladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

UP TO $11.00 (LATE NIGHT SHIFT SUBJECT TO HIGHER WAGE)

**NOTE** Openers will be scheduled up to 1 hour before opening time to prepare for the day. Closers will be scheduled up to 1 hour after closing time to clean the restaurant.
